Before you start, I just want to let you know that what I am doing here is quite unorthodox. I have been getting advice, support, coaching, mentoring (and some abuse) from people saying I’m crazy to go about it this way. But, hey-ho, that’s what TOM and I are becoming known for. To all those advisors who have been counselling me, I apologise if this makes you wince, but it’s too late – I’ve done it!

Please, hear me out and then make a judgement call as to whether I am genuine. Read through this and contact me if any of it is appealing to you. This is a real request for assistance that will translate into a real opportunity for an individual or an organisation.

What am I looking for?

I’m looking for ambitious trainers, training company/companies that are possibly looking for a new and unique range of products and training services and events to promote, sell and deliver TOM in different countries/regions – maybe alongside and complimenting a company’s current offerings. Ideally, we’d like a management and delivery team to take on the introduction, proliferation and management of TOM in Australasia.

What is TOM?

The TOM concepts – from the book ‘Everyone agrees with TOM!” –  combine with En-Lightning learning – a blend of Multiple Intelligence, Accelerated and NLP learning modalities –  to create a unique range of training products, processes, workshops and learning events.

 Where did TOM training come from?

The short story: I am an Australian and started work in the entertainment industry, then sales, personal development, then health, leisure and tourism. I ran the personal development programmes at Camp Eden Health Retreat (Gold Coast) and Clear Mountain Health Lodge (Brisbane) in the 90′s; crossed over into corporate training, moved to Europe and trained in corporate organisations all around the world.

I have written a couple of books, the second of which, called ‘Everyone agrees with TOM!’, became the basis of the whole TOM suite of unique (so I’m told) and extremely successful workshops and associated training materials. TOM came about after 5 years of research covering:

  • Study of some of the world’s most successful business minds – Richard Branson, James Dyson, Jack Welch and others
  • Design and Delivery of leadership and management training for large corporate organisations – KPMG, General Motors, TNT Express
  • Integration of Scientific evidence and theories with Eastern philosophies and corporate thinking – Professor Howard Gardner, Dalai Lama, Blanchard

Who is Ross Page? (written by an agent – sorry, it’s a bit ‘Isn’t he wonderful?!’)

An entrepreneurial background in industries as diverse as entertainment, health, tourism, catering, personal development and accelerated learning ensures Ross Page’s events are both dynamic and thought provoking.

Ross is CEO and founder of TOM International Ltd and creator of the TOM concepts and leadership training programmes based on his second book, ‘Everyone agrees with TOM!’ With a team of Certified TOM Associate Consultants spanning the UK and also spreading to all corners of the globe, (and that’s what this message is all about) Ross (and TOM’s) sphere of influence is growing fast.

Born in Australia, but now residing in UK/Europe and working globally, Ross has spent much of the last 25 years traveling, studying and working – fine-tuning his ideas and concepts on life and business and shaping them into the TOM Concepts and En-Lightning Learning.

Using the latest brain and learning research, Ross combines powerful experiential learning techniques with exciting music and visuals to present highly motivating and extremely memorable training sessions and keynotes.

 What are my expectations of any relationship we might have?

(If you’ve read this far something must have stimulated your interest :)

Well… My current thinking is that ideally, it would be best to upskill an established team of trainers in the ways of TOM – maybe 8-10, but I would even leave that up to whoever is going to manage TOM in your country or region. If you look/sound/feel like the right fit, whether you are an individual or an organisation, then I’d be happy to explore working with you.

But, let’s be clear; this is not a job. Not from me anyway. Maybe the new management team, whoever that may be, might employ you, but I am not going to ‘employ’ a management team. You, whoever you are, would need to ‘want’ to run the business or become part of running the business, and if it works out, become major shareholders.

You would be taking the materials and IP I have created and commercialising it, and paying me a percentage for the rights (or similar). You would be managing ‘me’ as well e.g. if you wanted to organise opening up a TOM distributorship in another city, region, you could use me and pay me to go and do the presentations and/or the training. If you needed another variation of the TOM book, you might ask me to create that or maybe to co-write it with you or someone you nominate.

I’m sorry if this is not in corporate or management-speak and it seems clumsily explained, but it’s the way I work. Get used to it if you want to work with me (or have me working for you!). If this puts you off then this probably won’t work. Oh yeah… and I use too many words too. Reading on??

Put simply:

  • I have created what people are describing as unique, exciting, and powerfully effective methods, techniques, books and systems for delivering training, coaching and communication. It works (see testimonial videos below)
  • I want to create, write, co-write, present, deliver, train new TOM facilitators and generally support the TOM Management Team
  • I want someone else to profit from what I’ve created i.e. grow, manage, develop the business; and deliver, train, coach, present as well… and pay me a modest percentage for using my IP. This will need to be negotiated, but I believe if you do most of the work –  and especially the things I can’t/don’t want to do – you will deserve most of the profit.
  • I would love for someone with as much passion for learning, teaching and training as I have to take what I have created and run with it.

Why am I doing it this way?

Honestly? I have been trying for several years to manage the growth of TOM; and I’ve been trying to do it all myself. I have realised that I can’t do it all and I need people with matching skill sets to do what I can’t and leave me space to do what I do best. I have also realised that business development, business administration and business management are not my forte. Some well meaning and generous people have started the project with me, but for various reasons, no one yet has been fully committed.

And there are other factors involved such as… health issues for myself and my wife (and I can’t keep up the pace on my own), family (living in 3 different countries and 2 different hemispheres), homesickness (I need to spend more time in Australia) business strategy (I need serious help with this one) and… age I guess (conquering the world of business was never on my life plan, so maybe someone with fewer years, higher energy levels and more business acumen might see this an exciting challenge)

All the above will make more sense when you look around the site. On the surface we might look like a lot of other training companies, but you’ll soon find out that we are ‘very’ different when you scratch the surface.

How many trainers/companies are we looking for? Well… I am thinking that ideally it would be best to train an established team of trainers in the ways of TOM – maybe 8-10, but I would even leave that up to whoever is going to manage TOM in your region. They might be all on one team or may be a loose mix of associates with similar passions.

What’s the road map look like at present?

Currently, the steps to becoming a TOM Accredited Facilitator and TOM Associate, in rough order, are…

  • Read ’Everyone agrees with TOM!’ …or attend a TOM Taster (see below) And/or…
  • Attend an ‘Are you TOM trained?’ 1-Day workshop… and…
  • Invest in TOMinaBox…and then…
  • Participate in the 3-Day TOM Accreditation Programme

Next, after attending the TOM Facilitator Accreditation Programme, and an initial trial period, we may invite Accredited Associates to join the TOM team where they’ll start delivering workshops for EveryoneagreeswithTOM.com.

Almost everything is in place for the above process – all written and previously delivered successfully.
