Everyone agrees withTOM being read

TOM is one of those guys who seems to always get what he wants. He is Trusting and trustworthy, has clear Objectives and is always brimming with Motivation. Not only that, the people around TOM seem to trust him, understand his objectives and are motivated to work with him.
TOM explains the basic principles of ‘how to get people, including yourself, to get things done and still have a good time’.
In the book, TOM sets off to climb a mountain and learns something from each and every event along the way. On his return, he becomes a life coach and runs into BJ, one of the characters from the story. TOM coaches BJ on how to turn ‘bad days’ into ‘good days’ by using the principles he learned on his mountain journey. The book concludes with BJ telling TOM the story of his new ‘good day’ and how he applied everything he learned.

The book is structured using En-Lightning Learning that not only make learning fast and effective, but also easy and enjoyable for the mind to absorb and act upon.
This is a book about both achieving results and enjoying the journey.

I rate this book very highly. It is written in a simple, no-nonsense style. There are some very complex issues here dealt with deceptive ease. All of the models are easy to remember and can be applied in business and in personal life. This is a book for both teachers and learners of life and business skills

The Enlightened Response

“We often rush through the moment to get to the joy. If we choose to stop and fully experience the moment we will find the joy is already present.”

Could enlightened responses stop war and conflict? In the world, the office, in relationships? Life is a fast ride, but “The Enlightened Response” hands you the controls. This text demonstrates how you create your life, moment to moment, choice by choice. We can only change – creating better relationships, better health, more happiness and more wealth – if we know what we’re changing.

This is a book about self-observation. It teaches us to carefully watch our own lives and behaviour so that we understand what works and what doesn’t, what causes us to be happy or sad, calm or stressed, peaceful or angry. Once we have this storehouse of information, we are able to choose what we want and avoid what we don’t want, in every aspect of our lives. Ross Page calls these choices “enlightened responses”, and they are based on self-knowledge and awareness – made with a conscious choice and not out of habit.

Beginning with simple observations of daily chores, self-observation can also bring us instant moments of peace. When we are focused on an activity in the present, we cannot be haunted by the past or be anxious about the future. Stress is completely banished. We can then consciously extend these moments into hours and eventually create a life of enlightened responses instead of strings of “knee-jerk” reactions.

“The Enlightened Response” aims to help us fine-tune the tools we possess to maximise our potential for living a happy and rewarding life. First, hit the PAUSE button – look at what you’ve got, consider what you’re offered, and choose an “enlightened response”.

The author asks us to imagine a world where everyone chooses Enlightened Responses. He says, ‘If we can imagine it, we can create it.’
